John Galvin
Founder & Director

John Galvin is the founder and director of Longmont Community Studio, where he brings together his background in small animal biology, a love of hands-on craft, and a commitment to building creative community. With years of experience leading teams and optimizing operations, John has a knack for turning complex ideas into approachable, engaging experiences.

In addition to directing the studio, John teaches classes himself, including an introduction to taxidermy, where science meets art in a respectful and imaginative way. His approach emphasizes both technical skill and curiosity, encouraging students to see connections between biology, creativity, and storytelling.

Whether he’s organizing behind the scenes or teaching at the workbench, John’s focus is always on creating a welcoming space where people can learn, experiment, and grow.
